THIS PICTURE IS WORTH 1,728 MEALS!


RPHS INTERACT CLUB participated in Rotary's HUNGER 3.6 Project to feed those in need. Several members of the club are pictured here with other students from all over norther New Jersey at the food pickup site in Madison. 

Funded by the ROTARY CLUB OF ROSELLE-ROSELLE PARK, the Interact students purchased 1,728 meals from mid-west farmers and distributed to Elmora Food Bank in Elizabeth and Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Community Center in Camden. The meals are pre-packaged, dried meals of rice and beans, mac and cheese, and oatmeal. 

INTERACT is the high school version of a Rotary Club. There are other clubs of this type including Rotaract for college students and EarlyAct for elementary students. www.rotary.org  

Every 3.6 seconds a person dies from hunger somewhere in the world. Rotary District 7475 www.njrotary.org including 2,000 Rotarians in 83 clubs throughout northern NJ, is very active in this program.  

Rotary Roselle-Roselle Park recently participated in a Hunger 3.6 project that brought almost 14,000 meals to the Twin Boroughs. The club was established in 1923. www.roselle-roselleparkrotary.org
